CHOICES PLUS

"The Choices Plus programme has given me the opportunity to gain new qualifications and access to university to train as a nurse.  This experience will help me to get a career and enable me to provide for my daughter and live independently "  Previous Choices Plus participant

Open to lone parents who are returning to training and education, Choices Plus offers you the opportunity to choose a course in your own area and get help to cover the costs associated with training. You will also take part in a work experience placement with, where possible, the employer of your choice.

Participants must be on Income Support and are currently studying/going to study a NQF Level 3 qualification or above.

• Help to choose the right course for you
• Attend your local College
• Help with finding childcare
• Help with course fees and the cost of childcare, travel and other expenses
• The chance to take part in a work experience placement with, where possible, the employer of your choice
• Ongoing support from Gingerbread staff through visits and telephone contact
• Careers advice and guidance
